England Under 21 boss Stuart Pearce has confirmed he has his eyes on Town striker Connor Wickham with a view to calling the player up to his squad in the future.
Pearce told the local press: "Every young England player is on my radar. Whether it is Connor or anybody else, we won’t go more than two games without watching them.
"Connor is certainly in the category of players we are watching. I saw
him myself towards the back end of last season and was impressed.”
Wickham has to date represented England at Under 16 and Under 17 level.
